We hired Instant Custom Boxes (ICB) for a luxury event and received a defective product that didn’t match our approved design. The logo was incorrect—they added an “E” to “Build It.” even though that error was not on the approved design. The boxes were completely unusable for our client presentation.
ICB acknowledged the mistake and promised a refund—first in 12–18 business days, then via monthly payments. After more than a year, we’ve only received three partial payments totaling $763.42. As of today, they still owe us $763.44.
We gave them multiple opportunities to resolve this amicably. We sent repeated messages, set clear deadlines, and even indicated we’d consider removing the review if they fulfilled their refund obligation. If they had simply paid what they promised, we wouldn’t be here.
Instead, they are now withholding the remainder of our refund unless we delete this honest review. Their team wrote:
“Our team has requested that all negative reviews posted online be removed prior to proceeding with the final refund.”
“Once the reviews are taken down, we will be able to process the remaining amount immediately.”
“Delete All negative reviews Online then we will proceed with remaining fund by end of this month.”
We’ve spoken with James Fletcher, Paul Millers, and David Albert—each made promises, none followed through. Their phone numbers now go to voicemail or are blocked. They’ve removed review options from other platforms and only highlight positive reviews on their website.
This is not a trustworthy company. Poor communication, broken promises, and now unethical conduct to suppress public feedback. We are filing complaints with the California Attorney General, FTC, and other agencies.
We cannot caution potential customers enough: Buyer beware. Find another company. It’s not worth the risk—or your money.
